Amazon Web Services - Route 53 Set up

Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) web service. It is designed for developers and corporates to route their domain (i.e. www.example.com) into the IP addresses like 164.4.2.1 that computers use to connect to each other.
Steps to set up Route 53

We will go through in simple steps to configure AWS Route 53

Step 1. Login to amazon ec2 console and Click on Services and then click on Route 53 under Networking & Content Delivery

step 2. Click route 53 and go to DNS Management and click on Get started now

step 3. Click to Create Hosted Zone option on the top left corner of the navigation bar.

Step 4. After clicking Create Hosted Zone button, Hosted zone list will appear. If there is no hosted created then list will empty. To create new hosted zone Click to Create Hosted Zone option on the top left corner of the navigation bar.

Step 5. After clicking Create Hosted Zone button,A form opens on right side. Provide the required details such as domain name and comments, then click the Create button. See image.

Step 6. Now hosted zone has been created and appeared in hosted zone list.

Step 7. After creating hosted zone we need to to create record set. For this you need to click on Create Record Set button. After clicking on Create Record Set A form opens on right side and in this form there are 2 fields a. Name (it Should be blank for first record set) and b. value (provide your server IP in this field) and click on create button.

Step 8. After creating first record set. We need another record set and for this you need to click on Create Record Set button. After clicking on Create Record Set A form opens on right side and in this form there are 2 fields a. Name (this time in name field provide www ) and b. Alias Target (provide your domain name in this field ) and click on create button. Check in below image.

Now Record set also created and you can use your Name Server and map with your domain.
